CANDIDATE DECLARATION & SIGN-OFF

By submitting my nomination for election to the Board of Directors of UN Youth New Zealand, I confirm, declare, and agree to the following:

1. Constitutional & Statutory Eligibility

No Disqualifications: I declare that I am legally eligible to serve as an Officer under the Incorporated Societies Act 2022 and the UN Youth New Zealand Constitution. I am not an undischarged bankrupt, I have not been convicted of an offence involving dishonesty, and I am not subject to any court order disqualifying me from managing a society or company.

2. Standards of Conduct & Values

Organizational Values: I agree to uphold and embody UN Youth New Zealand’s core values: Empowerment, Whanaungatanga, Equity, and Kotahitanga.

Code of Conduct & Safeguarding: I agree to adhere to all organizational policies, including the Code of Conduct, Ethical Guidelines, and Child Safeguarding Framework. I consent to undergo any necessary safety checks (including Police vetting) required for this role.

3. Conflicts of Interest & Transparency

Full Disclosure: I declare that I have disclosed all actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest (including roles in other organisations or commercial interests) in my candidate application. I agree to update the Board immediately should any new conflicts arise.

4. Governance & Time Commitment

Director Duties: I acknowledge that as a Director, I owe legal and fiduciary duties to UN Youth New Zealand, and I commit to acting in good faith and in the best interests of the Society at all times.

Availability: I confirm that I have the capacity to fulfill the time commitments of this role, including attending regular Board meetings, strategic planning sessions, and general meetings.
