As an HSA in 2026, each region would ideally host one HSA-organised regional event. Organising the regional event will require a significant amount of your time and effort throughout the year. Please evaluate your ability to commit to the programme throughout the year, including other commitments, leadership roles, sports, etc. In your response, please include how many hours per week you are able to commit to your duties as an HSA, assuming an ordinary week with no school balls, no exams, no mocks, etc.
Your attendance at a UN Youth event or programme is also bound by certain conditions unless otherwise stated.
You must provide us with an alternative contact
When registering or applying for an event or programme, we require the details of a parent, legal guardian or emergency contact. In the event of an emergency at one of our events or programmes, UN Youth will communicate with your alternative contact. You can update this contact at any time and you can change it for each event you attend.
Privacy Notice
To enhance our capacity to offer relevant event opportunities, we may collect and store your name, mailing address, and other non-sensitive information solely for UN Youth marketing purposes. We are committed to ensuring the security of your data through appropriate measures, and it will be retained only for the duration necessary to fulfill the intended marketing objectives. Rest assured, your personal information will not be disclosed to third parties without your explicit consent or unless mandated by law. You retain the right to access, correct, or request the deletion of your data.
Abridged code of conduct

The key principles are that:
- I am respectful and tolerant of all backgrounds.
- I will not engage in bullying or harassment.
- I will respect other people's opinions, and will not promote hateful opinions.
- I will act in a manner that promotes health and safety throughout the event. (For example, I will not consume alcohol or illegal drugs during the event, or engage in actions that endanger others).
- I respect the role and status of te ao Māori.
- I accept that any violation of the Code of Conduct can result in my immediate removal from the event, and can result in a permanent ban from events run by UN Youth New Zealand.

Media release
This registration submission authorises UN Youth New Zealand the right to capture my image and likeness in photos, videos and other media footage (“footage”). Additionally, it authorises UN Youth New Zealand the right to edit, publish and distribute any and all footage of me without any compensation to be used for any lawful purpose (e.g. creating promotional material).This registration submission authorises UN Youth New Zealand the right to collect, store and use any and all demographic information of me to be used for any lawful purpose (e.g. tracking who our organisation is reaching). This demographic information will not be individually identifiable. The foregoing authorisations shall continue indefinitely unless I otherwise revoke them in writing to
